Gulfstream G-V
Derived from the highly successful and desirable GIV, the Gulfstream V was the world’s first ultra-long-range, large-cabin private aircraft, capable of operating at speeds up to Mach 0.9 and altitudes up to 51,000 feet - far above the weather, and virtually all other aircraft. Featuring a maximum range of 6,500 nm, the GV is powered by dual Rolls-Royce BR700 high-bypass turbofan engines with full authority digital engine controls (FADEC) that improve performance and maximize efficiency. Compared to the GIV, all GVs offer a fuselage lengthened by 5' forward of the main entry door and two feet aft of the wing, increased wingspan from 74.6' to 93.5', and 15 percent increases to maximum takeoff and landing weights. More than 190 GVs have been produced since the type entered service in 1997, and Gulfstream also received that year’s prestigious Collier Trophy for this landmark design.
