Learjet 40XR
Introduced in 2006, the Learjet 40XR is an enhanced version of the earlier Learjet 40 and a serious contender in the competitive private jet market, offering a higher cruise speed than other light jets and excellent range/payload flexibility, including the ability to climb quickly to altitudes far above most other air traffic and bad weather. Its range allows for nonstop flights from Chicago to San Francisco, or from Singapore to Hong Kong – trips that few other light private jets could complete. The aircraft also features a highly-competitive 363 cubic feet of cabin volume, while still able to cruise at Mach .81 and travel up to 1,617 nautical miles nonstop. Even when fully loaded to its maximum takeoff weight of 21,000 pounds, the Learjet 40XR can take off in just 4,680 feet from a sea level runway and take 15 minutes to climb to FL370.
