It’s only natural to look for the best deal, regardless of whether you’re buying a television, a car… or, a private jet. Daniel Jennings, founder and President of The Private Jet Company (TPJC) explains that certain private jet aircraft currently represent excellent deals in today’s market, often selling at prices far lower than buyers may expect.
“We strongly believe the overall market is beginning to tighten, and inventories have decreased 50 percent over the last 24 months,” Jennings said. “That said, large cabin, long-range business jets from such manufacturers as Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, and Bombardier continue to offer a lot of bang for the buck.”
Jennings specifically cited the three-engine Dassault Falcon 7X large cabin, long range private jet as a great deal for those wishing to cross entire oceans fast, efficiently, and in style.
“Many of the 30+ Falcon 7X aircraft now on the market were flown by international operators who have been impacted by global economic and political changes, and they are motivated to sell,” Jennings added. “There are also some tremendous deals out there right now on Gulfstream G550s and GIV-SPs, and [Bombardier] Global Express aircraft.”
Of course, a low price should not necessarily be the most important consideration; discriminating buyers seek the best value overall. “An aircraft’s pedigree is extremely important,” Jennings noted. “’Who owned it, where was it maintained, and what was it used for?’ Answers to those questions separate the finest private aircraft available from all the rest.
“A private jet that was previously owned and operated by a Fortune 500 company, and maintained exclusively through factory-authorized service centers or programs, will command a premium price – and won’t stay on the market for long,” he continued. “On the other hand, aircraft lacking detailed histories, or which may have sat unused for year or more, are far less desirable – at any price.”
